Hello Bride-to-be and Welcome! This is such an exciting time for you! I'm Maria, a redheaded wedding and portrait photographer! I am so excited that you found me and because I believe that getting to know our clients is the #1 way to ensure an awesome experience, I'd love to tell you a little about myself and our family! Here are a few things you should know!

More Fun Facts About Me...
~ Matthew and I were married at Walt Disney World in 2015 at Disney's Wedding Pavilion
~ We are slightly Disney obsessed and travel there at least once, sometimes twice a year.
~ Both of our children have Disney inspired names Ella Katherine and Aiden Ryder.
~ I binge watch Hallmark Movies whenever I have a chance, it's my guilty pleasure.
~My biggest weakness is a McDonald's Coke. And, you might be surprised to know coffee is my arch nemesis.
~ We are based in Indianapolis but we love to travel. I am currently dreaming of my next overseas trip.
~ Cinderella Blue might just be the best color ever, especially when paired with rose gold .
~ Matthew and I are both certified scuba divers. We have dove in Hawaii, St. Lucia, and The Living Seas Aquarium at Epcot.
~ I own multiple pairs of the Kate Spade Keds Sequin line, and yes one of the pairs are rose gold.
The Wedding Experience
My Philosophy | I'm sure your mind is racing with all that needs to be planned. It's all very exciting but it can also be somewhat overwhelming. You're planning the day you've been anticipating your whole life and yet you only get one shot at it! By the time you get the hang of it, the planning is over! My goal as a wedding photographer is to make this one aspect of the planning process simple. Photography is more than just images. It's a real part of your day. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. when my couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that results in genuine, joyful, images!
When I think back to my wedding day, I remember amazing memories...but most of the moments I remember really well are the instances that were captured in my pictures. They are priceless to me. Our photographer made us feel so incredibly comfortable and for the first time, I experienced what it feels like to be in front of the camera as a bride.
Your wedding day is an experience from beginning to end and your photography is a huge part of that experience... shouldn't it be fun? and enjoyable? and natural? I think so! My goal is to not only capture memories for my clients, it's to create an experience they will never forget.

One way I ensure my brides and grooms enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible is through forming a relationship with my couples. I try my best to make sure that all my couples are the PERFECT fit for me before officially booking. A bride and groom should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer and be EXCITED about the whole process with them!
We'll get to know one another, talk about the details of your wedding day, answer any questions you might have about working with myself and figure out if we're the best fit for each other.

Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. We've photographed more than 100 weddings in the past few years and we're happy to share everything we've learned along the way!
Engagement Session
We’re big fans of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. We’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. We normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules.
Wedding Day Prep
We check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day.
While we normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions during the planning process!
The Big Day
It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends. Sit back, relax, and soak it all in! I will be there to capture all of your memories and make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible.
Just know we're excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day. It's going to be awesome.
Photo Delivery
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within six to eight weeks of your wedding. So get ready to snuggle up with your significant other and a glass of wine and enjoy reliving your wedding day all over again!
We hope the relationship doesn't end after we deliver your photographs. We want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, we'd love to document your growing family.

Engagement Sessions
All of our wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being
photographed and understand how we pose. Timelines can be
pretty tight on wedding days and 30 minutes may be all we
have for portraits - which is why we’ve found that wedding day
portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement
sessions ahead of time.
Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a more casual
setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include
pets!) While they’re great for save-the-dates, we’ve taken
engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a
few days before the wedding.
Why Invest
Your first decision as an engaged couple is to set priorities for your wedding planning. You have to decide what you value most. Is it the dress? The food? The venue? As a bride and photographer, I believe that couples should make their photography a top priority. After the big day is over, you will leave your reception with a spouse & your pictures.... that's it! All of that planning and preparation is over in a matter of hours! So if you're choosing to invest in high quality photography, those images deserve a classy, elegant home after the wedding. Receiving your images is the perfect ending to The Wedding Experience and it's a keepsake that you will be showing your children and grandchildren one day!
I'm Ready to Book!
Do you travel for Engagement sessions?
We are more than willing to travel for engagement sessions! We actually love it when our couples ask us to photograph in a location that means something special to them! We book engagement sessions at least two months in advance and 30 miles of travel are included.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
Galleries typically include anywhere between 50 and 100 images per an hour that we are shooting. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. We love delivering our client's files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to print, share, and download, your images as much as you want. We believe in freely sharing our work because that is what we would want if we were in your shoes!
Is ten hours enough coverage?
We are often asked if ten hours is enough time to capture the full wedding story and the answer is yes! Our main goal right now is securing and saving your wedding date. You can always add additional coverage as we get closer to the big day and we have a good idea of your wedding timeline.
what is your shooting style?
We love being both interactive and discreet throughout the wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done while staying on schedule. There will be moments when you shouldn't even know I am there. We teach our couples how to pose, model, and interact during their engagement session, so they are naturals on the wedding day and don't need quite as much instruction from us!

What's the next step?
Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, we'll need a completed contract and a 50% non refundable retainer. Once your ready to book I will send over a detailed booking proposal that will walk you through your package details and when your ready you can save your date by signing your contract and paying your retainer online.
